I can't imagine that the M7 would have significant shutter lag time and hold out some hope for the new Digilux on the whole shutter lag issue, if this is the the one thing that leica got right I'll take it . 1 tend with you position , in regard to film cameras and on the D1's , Kodak digital are not bad in regard to shutter lag and I would assume on the Cannon Eos1d , but I have never used . Unfortinantly once you get below the large slr based digital and the 4k usd price range , the shutter lag issue is infuriating and unpredictable 15thsec to 1sec or will it be 50th this time making it almost impossibly to shoot moving objects much less sports . I have tried a whole list of the of the sub 4k digital hoping for some thing that could complement my system , Olympus , Minolta , Sony, Fuji most of the features were fine for any quick web based usage all fell way short on the shutter lag , . The real point of this rather wordy post is that after all of my experiences is a feeling that from a design point the shutter is so far down the list of concerns as to not even come in to the equation , for most camera manufactures and I just fear where this is leading . Lucky for all of us we have Leica and don't have these sorts of issues . Chuck - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
