[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]G'Day The first time I went into a really old camera store I felt like a kid in Toys R Us (my daughter is who is almost a clinical psychologist tells me she thinks I had a deprived childhood :-)- I browsed for hours and still go to look...I notice that these old stores are becoming extinct Down Under, what a pity. I heard that Perth is a great place to buy old classic cars - climate is perfect for minimum rust - could this mean we may have good conditions then for second hand lens - fungus etc. (I have never, ever had that problem with any lens I have owned). I like camera fairs, seeing a whole bunch of people as passionate as I am makes me feel normal (I do raise some eyebrows amongst non photographic minded friends - but they will never understand - at one point all I had in the fridge was film and a 5 litre cask of developer - no sign of food and no cask of wine - LOL). It is hell for the spouses unless they share the passion Put a whole bunch of photographers in one room (the nice ones) and you have to throw water over them to break up the conversation.. Have a great weekend - mine is not far off starting. Karina - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
