I like ebay. I like the fact that I can search past auctions to get a feel
for the price range of what something will go for. I usually set my maximum
bid at the lowest part of the range. Don't often win what I want right
away, but eventually one falls into my lap at an attractive price.

My Gralab 300 timer I bought used on Ebay for $26 instead of $100 new.

After I already bought a Kindermann 1L tank "unused in box" for $15, I found
another one on Ebay, along with three Kindermann 35mm reels and one 120.
Total package price was $20.

Picked up a Timbuk2 bag after John talked about how nice they were both as
camera bags and as diaper bags. $22 used instead of $70 new.

That said, I love that some people are willing to pay almost full retail for
used items. I've unloaded more than one item for close to what I paid for
it. :)
