What has most amazed me about the 50 odd buy and/or sell transactions I've done - the folks have proved to be most honest and respectable. In two transactions which I felt slightly mislead. The sellers sent me checks, in an agreed amount, in a timely manner to compensate my displeasure. They certainly did not have to - the deal was done - they had my money - and I had the gear. In one case that I sold a strobe head. I did the same with the buyer - made her happy. The flaw she spotted slipped by my notice. It would appear that at least a good number of folks using the venue for professional gear are professional and wish to do the right thing. One fellow in New Zealand actually sent me a 20" panoramic color print (shot with a Seitz Roundshot producing a 35mm neg 5" long) packed in the box with the gear I purchased. I've also carried on some very interesting eMail exchanges with photographers doing interesting, exotic and wonderful work as a result of the auction venue - people I'd never known about.
