The R6 R6.2 are based on the Minolta XD and the R 4 4s 4sMod2/p and R5 RE form factor. The important difference being a mechanical shutter. The R6 and R6.2 are match diode cameras. Adjust the shutter speed and f stop until the center diode is lit and your exposure should be accurate. The main difference between the two models is a redesigned shutter in the R6.2 allowing a higher shutter speed of 1/2000 vs 1/1000 in the R6. Both feature interchangable screens. They accept all R mount lenses but require stop down metering (metering made at the taking f stop) with older single and double cam lenses. They cannot make use of the information in ROM lenses. Not sure what else he would like to know? Dial on the front is a self timer... Shoe on top is hot shoe Accepts optional R Motor and R Winder Cases available. Standard DIN Tripod screw.
