[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]i've successfully done it but putting the lens elements in a tub of nailpolish remover (the kind filled with foam rubber with an X cut in the middle you're supposed to stick your fingers in to remove the nail polish (those of you who are not lea and never painted your nails black before attending an Alien Sex Fiend concert will be looking blankly at the screen now asking "what?"), be forwarned however that this also cleanly removed the cement between lens elements. (leave it overnight) (i did this previously to uncement lense which had partial seperation.) you may have luck removing only the coating by pressing it down on top -- experiment with a nikon lens before putting one of your trusty leitz lenses to the test. just my .02. take it for what it's worth. kc - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
