Who says being a sports photographer is easy. (OT) Oops! My bad english might have made me looking arrogant. If so, sorry, I just wanted to help. Here you will find my last private posts on the web. The pix are not exactly sport, it' pure natural lighting and they are made with a big Leica :-) http://perso.wanadoo.fr/francepix/ (few french text, click on small pix to get larger, on the larger to get kingsize. Enjoy.) BTW on such moving subjects as street or sports photo, I personally think useful trying not to be surpassed by technical pbs on the field, in order to concentrate on the subject. Getting the max DOF/speed from avalaible light can also be useful, and here is the limit to filtering. The post-process in wet or digital darkroom is much quieter... In such conditions, a good way to manage color correction is also to make half the color correction with minimum filtering, loosing 1/3 to 1/2 stop, and finish in postprocessing. There is an excellent Kodak publication on filters: "Kodak filters for scientific and technical use" (title translated from french). Choosing the more appropriate pellicule and a good lab you can talk with may also be an issue. Didier PS: Its rather easy to take pix, but being a photographer is not easy at all! - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
