Subject: [Leica] OT: Meter discrepancies

I bought a Gossen Sixtomat Digital at the Focus show yesterday as I wanted a
lighter travel meter than my Sekonic L508. When I compared the readings
from each meter measuring the same ambient light, the Sekonic is
recommending one stop less than the Gossen.

Of course I can shoot some test images using the readings from each meter
and enter a compensation into the unit that is providing the wrong reading,
but one stop difference seems like a lot of inaccuracy for a meter,
especially when both are supposed to be very accurate. I didn't expect to
have to set a permanent compensation into either meter.

Has anyone noticed this type of discrepancy in their meters?

Simon
