I'm so insulted, I'm going to throw away my M6 TTL. Message-ID: <20020225073536.90706.qmail@web9102.mail.yahoo.com> References: Dear All, This might seem like a dumb question but what does the Leica M6 manual mean by saying there is the option of using either superimposed images or a split image when focusing using the rangefinder patch? At first, I thought it might mean that the user can either look at the two images in the RF patch and tweak the focus until they merge into one or, alternatively, look at a vertical line that passes through the RF patch and tweak the focus until it shows no discontinuity, such as with the central split-image part of a typical SLR focusing screen. However, this seems so blindingly obvious as to be not worth even mentioning, unless Leica is assuming that its customers are mentally deficient. So ... what does it really mean? - -- Herbert Kanner kanner@acm.org 650-326-8204 Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will pee on your computer! - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
