It was a lot of fun to get out those old photos and they brought back some wonderful memories. Those of my wife, Nina, are my favorites. We had a lot of great times there and our first son was born in Bremerhaven. Have you ever had to ride in the back seat of a Volkswagen at 50 mph over cobblestone streets at 3:30 in the morning? That's an experience. I wish I could have had a camera and flash 'cause the taxi driver was sure the baby would come before we got to the hospital and all the while Nina was yelling, "Slow down - slow down", which I guess he didn't understand so he just went faster.
