(heating and polishing/grinding) If the lens performs well, I wouldn't mess with it. Use it till you're sick of it and sell it for what you can get.. Let the next owner deal with the decision.. If you're a shooter.. Shoot with it. :) - -Mark - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Eric C Sent: Friday, February 22, 2002 11:02 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Leica 21mm f3.4 Super Angulon Question I am in a dilemma. I have a Black Leica 21mm f3.4 Super Angulon Ser No.2417270 with font and rear caps and original finder. The lens needs the front element polishing and re-coating , over enthusiastic cleaning by a previous owner !! , cosmetic really as it does not appear to have any effect on images taken with it. Anyhow i am now in two minds whether whilst getting the front element polished and re-coated by Malcolm Taylor , to get the lens also modified to meter with the M6 at the same time. Should i get this done and in some peoples eyes ruin the lens or should i sell the lens as is and get a used 21mm Elmarit ASPH ?
