I was joking - thus the ;).

I'm not a fan of auto anything (photographically). Exception - I
do love ttl on the rare occasions that I use the SF20 - but
always rely first on the manual read of the environment, adding
just a bit of flash for fill or motion stopping ability. 

One of the many reasons I love the M6 and R8 on manual is because
I very quickly developed an intuitive sense of exposure
"compensation" for verying conditions requiring under or over
exposure - deviating from what the meter would advise. Especially
the R8  - with its fractional steps reading in the viewfinder.
Marvelous! I'd love to see that Manual R8 LED display in the M,
and while I'm at it - the R8 manual strobe metering as well.
