True, but the majority of us plunked down between $1500-1900 for a new
M,
which is comparable to the top Nikon and Canon models. If you look in a
catalog
you will notice that $2500 is medium format territory. Although if I had
money
to burn I would have been tempted by the black paint. Sure looks
pretty...

The majority of digital cameras are priced well below that. Of course
there
is the Nikon D1 etc., but now we are talking really big bucks.
