Most lenses designed for use principally on the Visoflex II and III
were provided with preset diaphragms. The 6.8 Telyts were some of the
few exceptions. One lens, the 90/2 Summicron was even supplied with
or without a preset diaphragm, depending on whether you intended to
use it mainly on the Visoflex or directly on the camera with
rangefinder coupling. Earlier lenses such as the 200/4.5 had neither
preset diaphragms nor non-rotating focussing movements, so the
diaphragm ring rotated as you focussed, and if the diaphragm ring was
a bit stiff, you couldn't maintain focus as you stopped down after
focussing. Not handy.
