How can you talk about compassion when you cannot rise from the > cinders of your own hatred? Now you equate the homeless, the mentally ill, the victims of fascist repression ala Pinochet or Latin American death squads and Nazis. Odd. Truly, very odd. You can't have compassion for the "have-nots" of the world unless you forgive a group that murdered better than six million people and caused a war that killed countless millions more... only sixty years ago. It's not like we're discussing Dark Age Crusaders here. This was recent, and still viable (I saw a study recently about countless Czech Republic students turning to far-right ideologies). >You say you feel for the poor, the naked, > the sick, the homeless--but that is only a fantasy. Is it now? I'm sorry, do you know me? Have you ever met me? Or even discussed, well, anything outside of this thread? > Where are the poor, naked, sick, and homeless close enough to you that you can reach out and > offer solace? Only in your mind. Or in the shelters and soup kitchens blocks from my home. >I'll believe you are a man of > compassion when you do the one thing that is in your power to do: > forgive the Nazis--forgive those you hate. Hmm... lemme think. What have the Nazis of yesterday and today done to deserve forgiveness. I forgive those who realize the error of their ways and make amends. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
