There is a bit more of the river to the left, but the picture looked unbalanced (to these eyes at least) when I included it. Frog and Rosbif - you may notice that the bottom of the bass guitar is blurred. This is in fact the top of my pint of brewed on the premises lager :-) The Frog and Rosbif has jam sessions every Sunday from 12 to 4. There are some regular players one of whom is the bass player in the photo. If you ever need to find the bar, walk up St Denis from Chatelet and it's just the other side of the junction with Etienne Marcel. It's an 'interesting' red light area just past the Frog on St Denis but I've never been brave enough to photograph it. I would have liked to see a bit more of the river, but of course if you had turned the camera to the left, the kissing couple would have been squished against the edge of the picture. The contre-jour works beautifully in this image. > http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW/week_06alt1.htm I am not a big fan of tilted pictures shot with wide angle lenses. This one is better than most because the long strip of grass is almost parallel to the edge, but I am still bothered by it. The city does look beautiful from this vantage point. > http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW/week_06alt2.htm Now, here you have really COMPOSED (no pun intended). The framing is absolutely perfect, from the poster in the upper left hand corner to the left hand of the player on the right. Wonderful. This place--Frog & Rosbif--is that a venue for jam sessions on Sundays?
