If your eyesight is that bad that you can't focus a R8, will you notice if the prints or slides are out of focus? The focus aid will probably help the sales of the R8. Probably a good thing. Is the digital camera next? Why else would they make a new 15mm lens, when they probably sold very few of the previous design.
