The widest framelines are 50mm. Some say the full finder is about 35mm. 
Goggled 35mm lenses compress the view into the 50mm lines.

Don't condemn the separate finders until you have tried the Leica BL 
finders. They are nice and bright and the ones 35mm and up give a life size 
view.
