Subject: [Leica] Black paint wear and tear

Curious minds want to know -- for those who own and use the various black
paint M6 models, how is the black paint holding up?

Here is another related question: How did it come about the Leica chose the
35mm summicron and 50mm summilux to be the black paint lenses?  The summilux
would not appear to be an obvious choice.
