I had the opportunity to get a Focomat IIa, from Germany, and I thought it
might be an interesting addition as I had never seen one for sale here in
the US- I don't even know if they were ever imported here.
The problem is that the upper parallelogram arm on the right as you face it-
where the height adjusting lock knob is- has been broken in shipping.
Do any Luggers out there know of a Focomat IIa that might be for sale- I am
really looking for a 'parts' enlarger. IF you happen to be in your local
camera store- please ask if they might have one in a corner of their back
rooms!! Heck, if you can find a usable one, I am sure I can cobble a working
unit out of the pair...
