Sorry to hear about your Dad - and the resultant domestic situation. Both
are really tough.

Yes, I gave it a decent shot, but ran out of steam in October (I also
started late, around March or April I think). A big part of me bailing was
suddenly discovering my Dad had Alzheimer's requiring him to move from his
home in Alabama to living with me and my wife. This took an amazing amount
of energy and focus on my part, and continuing the PAW was not an option.

But I also realized that more often than not, I wasn't really satisfied with
my weekly efforts. There were some good images there, I thought, but they
were definitely too few and too far in between. What I did gain was a deep
familiarity with my M3. I got to were I could really shoot fast, and rarely
needed to check my light meter, and I knew for sure what I could expect to
see on the negatives. One camera, one lens. Do that for a year, and you
WILL know what your equipment can do. So in that regard, the project was a
resounding success for me and my Leica photography.

For now I will satisfy myself to post only images I really think are worthy,
and leave the PAW type projects in the capable hands of others. Doing a PAW
is not easy, that is for sure. I tip my hat to anyone willing to take it
on.

I would like to point out that while Kyle is getting credit for being the
creator of the PAW, Bob Kramer was the only other person doing a weekly PAW
during the first year.
