Yes, #3 was shot with a Summicron 28....#4 was shot with a Vivitar Series I 28 on a Honeywell Pentax, which is what I "moved up" to from my first "real" camera, a IIIc with a Serenar 50 1.8. I think the lesson here, given that thus far 50% of the guessers have guessed wrong, and NO ONE has flat out said - 'Oh, THAT's a Leica image,' is that as wonderful as Leica glass is, this 'I can tell a Leica image at 50 paces stuff' is so much bs. ;-) Bottom line - "it ain't the meat, it's the motion." >> I only have "old" Leica lenses--meaning none that are ASPH. From discussions I've read regarding 35mm summicron pre-asph vs. asph, there's a different "look." So to say that one can absolutely identify every leica shot is hard for me to understand given the different "looks" that a number of Leica lens have. On the other hand, next time if you test us you say, here's 2 images, one a summicron one a minolta rokkor or maxxum (etc), those of us who think we're familiar with particular lens "looks" might be better able to tell Leica. - -kim ps--where's my M3? - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
