I too use Opera as my main browser (version 6 here on Win2K) and I think
it clearly blows away all others for user interface.  For compatibility,
it's better than Netscape, but of course not as good as IE.  I too am
used to firing up IE when necessary.  For what it's worth, 100% of my
latest web-creation efforts have been with FrontPage 2002; my sites look
identical in all three browsers.
