B.D.'s earliest comments bordered on hand-holding; that Lea was appalled by 
them surprised me.

I agree that some of the images are getting better (some of his earlier 
work was not even in focus), but do think that he should consider enrolling 
in a class or buying a book or two on photography. One of John Hedgecoe's 
intro books and a book on photographic composition would be in order. Also, 
if one HAS to verbally spell out the irony contained in an image, the image 
has obviously failed in that it cannot stand on its own. I would suggest 
that he try to simply post an image without the explanation of its hidden 
meaning. Also, I could easily get the impression that he has not ventured 
more than 10 feet from his residence to get these images. Sometimes you 
have to do some moving about to find an interesting subject.
