You have every right to be proud of Scott. Just think how much better they could have been if he were using decent equipment! :)<< Hi Eric, Well the scary part on the equipment side is not that he didn't do this with Leica's, but what he used for most of that high speed skating imagery. Can you imagine shooting that high speed action with a "manual focus Canon 400 2.8 and for the most part, hand holding camera, lens and focusing!" :-) Now that's the scary part big timer! :-) And for those of you who want to see that one can shoot all kinds of high end action with manual focus lenses and even though these are not with Leica glass isn't relevant. The message is when someone leans on you about Leica not being autofocus just tell them to stick it in their ear and tell them to look at this page at what can be done with manual focus. http://www.cyberus.ca/~fsgrant/ Look after all ( cough cough) ;-) the kid learned all the hand holding tricks from the old man! ;-) Hey come on, I gotta get some credit for his ability. ;-) And yes his early tutoring was all Leica. Where did he go wrong? It came from his mother's side. ;-) jeeeeeeesh don't tell her I said that. ;-) ted Ted Grant Photography Limited - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
