For my last pair I insisted on glass, no coatings. They cost less than
plastic, are thinner, and don't weigh that much. Better yet, after a year
of utter abuse, no scratches. That is an amazing statement for me as I have
been wearing glasses so long I use them to tell me when I get too close.
