HERETIC!

So, I have a simple question, I've heard that rangefinders were sharper
then SLRs, assuming its true, what are the reasons? less shake due to a
mirror? optical design of the lenses and lack of zoom lenses for
rangefinders?

Inquiring minds want to know.
