So I've had advice to crop the left, crop the right, crop the bottom and include more sky :-) Steve - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Eric Sent: 19 January 2002 12:30 To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Re: PAW week 3 Steve Unsworth Steve: >http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW/week_03.htm I like. The man in the umbrella is in just the right position and has just the right amount of blur. I'd adjust the levels so that it contains a bit of maximum black. I opened it up in Photoshop. Painted some maximum black in the darkest areas of the image, and then it really shows on my monitor as having dark dark gray instead of real black. Of course, I'm the guy with the hammer who sees nails everywhere now. Gotta look for maximum black. That's been the latest lesson from my patient mentor. So now that I'm aware of it, I'm looking everyplace for it. :) >Alternative is at... > >http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW/week_03alt1.htm This one doesn't do anything for me.The person in the umbrella to the right blends in too much with the background. I'd be tempted to crop that part out, instead of the left part by the parking sign. Eric - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
