Mark, ask deep throat how the M7 works on manual.  For me at least, auto
exposure is for emergencies when any image is better than none.  The rest of
the time I prefer to set exposure and lock it in.  The Contax 167 has the
perfect system, spot meter, then lock that exposure until you want to
change.  Very much like an M.  Which I like.
