That is not the complete problem,, it must strobe at time intervals that do
NOT overlap in a window, but must be precise to the adjacent window......
.... in a electromechanical system... NOT an easy task....especially at fast
shutter speeds.. It basically means the shutter is electronically timed, and
that it is VERY repeatable.. not to the level of the M family, but maybe
several orders of magnidtude more consistent and repeatable......

As to the flash synching with a focal plane shutter, it just has to strobe
fast enough to cover the moving slit.
