As to the drop test - that's an interesting one. The EOS1 series is pretty damn tough - although that kind of drop would probably do some serious damage. But I also have a feeling that even the M - a VERY tough customer, would suffer some major brain damage in that contest. Now off a table top? That might be another story....;-) And as to the Hasselblad? Jeees, isn't that just a Mossler Safe with a lens mount? - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Austin Franklin Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2002 3:36 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: RE: [Leica] We're nuts I don't know about that, B.D...especially if the spike is drawn on the RabidWinder. I'd bet that if these two cameras were dropped from two stories onto a cement sidewalk, the EOS would cease to exist, but the Leica would be able to still take pictures...I'll even let you drop the EOS first... I actually had a Hasselblad drop (not by me, mind you) three stories onto asphalt...the back was dinged up pretty badly, but the rest of the camera was fine, believe it or not. Another test, you put the EOS on a table, and give me one shot at it with the M6. If it is able to take a picture after, you win... ;-) > Of course, so will an EOS Rebel with a 35 if it's wielded > properly! It's the > wielding that really matters....;-) > > B.
