I don't know the version but it's s/n 2587xxx -- which seems to date it at 1973. Mine has the (fairly) long black metal clip on hood. 'Don't have a clue as to "thick or thin" but it's not much bigger than my 50mm Summicron. I appreciate all the replies to my question about the Tele-Elmarit. My (black chrome Wetzlar) M4 is just back from a complete overhaul with Sherry. I'll use it to test the focus again and also check for flare.
