You will see fine details with gentle edges. If you shoot into the light the veiling glare will be usually quite lovely, almost ethereal. Stopped down the lens is quite good by 5.6. I would not recommend the Summarit as your only fast 50 but for certain maybe many effects it is a lovely lens. Which is why even though it is plentiful and routinely panned by just about everyone they regularly sell near $400 even in not great condition.
