Bokeh DOES exist and IS a viable technique. As I said in another post, just because YOU may not use it, doesn't mean others don't enhance their images by the use of it. > It is the photographic equivalent of "art > speak." In other words the babbling of uninformed people trying to sound > knowledgeable. Your comment is what is utter nonsense, and arrogantly demeaning. Why is it some people are so afraid of the existence of bokeh? I know that sounds weird, but for what reason would some people be just so vehemently in denial about something that is clearly a viable technique? Because you don't use it? Because it goes against your "understanding"? Why the need to belittle others for discussing it? That's what's got me puzzled. > In my career, as a magazine photojournalist, <snip> > Never, absolutely never, has anyone of these people ever mentioned > bokeh! Never! I seriously doubt some of them as ever hear the word. So what? Because no one mentioned it, means it doesn't exist? Bad conclusion. Did they talk about the felt lip on the film canister? Well, if no one ever mentioned it, then it must not exist, right? > Let's PLEASE find a more worthwhile topic! Because it's a topic YOU don't want to partake in, at least usefully and respectfully, how about YOU delete the messages about it instead of being demeaning to others who are interested in it? It's a physical phenomenon that exists...like it or not, believe it or not. Austin - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
