Well that's bad. My eyes can't handle anything higher than 800X600 for
standard work. Higher when doing digital photo.

Flat panel displays do not have an adjustable resolution. Their pixels
are 
installed at the factory. If the display has a resolution of 1600x1280, 
that means that there are 1600 columns of pixels in 1280 rows, and
that's 
the way it is. If you ask for a screen size that is different from what
is 
built in, various compromises can be made, but all of them will damage
the 
image quality.
