I guess I took the statement literally. Perhaps Anonymous was living in another time and place when he/she made the statement. Or they were just misinformed. Being 'Anonymous' you don't have to defend/explain yourself. Perhaps 'anonymous' was making a political statement, selfishly motivated, at the expense of the less fortunate. We'll never know. "People have never been more wealthy and still we keep hearing about how the economy, this abstract entity, is doing better than ever, and while the rich are posting on the LUG, they are also buying more Leicas and selling their N****'s to the rest of us." - Anonymously Doug Percentage of people in poverty, by Definition of Income: 1979 to 2000 2000....11.3 1999....11.8 1998....12.7 1997....13.3 1996....13.7 1995....13.8 1994....14.5 1993....15.1 1992r...14.8 1991r...14.2 1990....13.5 1989....12.8 1988....13.0 1987....13.4 1986....13.6 1985....14.0 1984....14.4 1983....15.2 1982....15.0 1981....14.0 1980....13.0 1979....11.7 I for one, who have the wherewithal to own such a finely engineered machine, such as Leica's are, don't take the privilege lightly. I don't know what their political affiliation is Doug, not that it really matters; you can still be a capitalist and say these kinds of things. Some would even say it's realism. Be well, Gary ____________________________________________________________________ "Now, given that kind of time span, it's just not easy to think of Ned Lud as a technophobic crazy. No doubt what people admired and mythologized him for was the vigor and single- mindedness of his assault. But the words "fit of insane rage" are third-hand and at least 68 years after the event. And Ned Lud's anger was not directed at the machines, not exactly. I like to think of it more as the controlled, martial-arts type anger of the dedicated Badass."
