Some folks will still say that doesn't prove anything in that it might be focusing in a different area of the "depth of focus" range than with a Leica lens. It's all kind of moot to me, as I tend to shoot Hexanons on my Konica, and Bessa and Leitz lenses on my Leicas and Bessas. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of John Straus Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2001 1:00 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Hexar RF - Leica M incompatibility issue - finally ananswer? on 12/20/01 12:19 PM, Jeffery L.Smith at jsmith45@bellsouth.net wrote: > I nailed the coffin shut by taking a picture of...a nail. Wouldn't it be better to test all those lenses as you did at a minimum focusing distance wide open? Then you'd be using the narrowest DoF giving you a less "forgiving" range than 9ft...? Just asking... - -- John Chicago, IL http://SlideOne.com ==================== - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
