Stupid Tourist Trick #27: Roadside in Banff National Park (Canadian Rockies), I once saw a Japanese tourist walk right up to a bull elk in full antlers. He shoved his camera practically in the elk's face and began clicking away. The elk lowered his head and took a step forward. I was sure the tourist was about to be gored. Fortunately, the tourist took several quick steps backward, and the elk didn't pursue the point. Just then a Mountie pulled up and ordered everyone back into their cars. He was *not* kidding! Unfortunately, I didn't have my Leica on that trip. I do have one particularly good animal shot from a previous trip there, taken with the humble 90mm Elmar. I'll try to dig it out and scan it. - --Peter Klein Seattle - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
