They are nothing of the sort, and the quoted scribble is nothing just requoted hearsay. I even remember that someone responded to this post saying that my description of the film rail configuration in Leicas is just plain wrong. I don't think this particular coffin is nailed shut yet, and I certainly don't think my comment should be construed like that. OTOH, I just don't think it's a big issue. Enough people have by now taken sharp pictures with Hexars and Leica lenses to satisfy the practical among us that it's not something to worry about.
