The Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge in Cameron Parish is a fabulous site for shooting egrets, herons, and avocets. The major problems there are (1) mosquitoes (enough to exsanguinate you in minutes), and (2) geese. You'll get into a great position prepared to shoot an American Avocet and a goose will come charging you and bite the s___ out of you. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that they nest there. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Doug Herr Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2001 10:18 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: RE: [Leica] On your belly for wildlife photography On Thu, 20 December 2001, "Jeffery L.Smith" wrote: > > Down here, lying on your belly means lying in mud. > That's what old clothes are for. Once I'm done with the photo session the clothes go into the trash. Sometimes I even remember to bring a change of clothes.
