For those who think wild animals can be photographed using a 50mm lens, you are going to have to go to the Galapagos Islands. Having evolved in the absence of humans, those animals have no fear of humans and no desire to eat them. Thus, you can approach them without much problem. Just about all other animals on earth that will allow humans walk right up to them (like the dodo bird) are long extinct for that very reason. I mean, it's bad enough having to shoot some humans in that fashion, but taking on a lioness and her cubs might be a tad invigorating as you attempt to get out of claw range! ;-) I'm a great believer in, "the bigger the beast, the bigger the lens!" ;-) ted Ted Grant Photography Limited www.islandnet.com/~tedgrant - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
