..you got it, Doug. Monkeys, birds (non-carnivores), gazelles and other 
grazers (assuming they'll stand still for you) with a 50 or wider, yes. But 
if you're in 50mm range facing a standing grizzly or a big cat who is looking 
at you from any range, you are seriously in harm's way.
