I wrote to complain but of course have received no response. Hopefully when they go on line it will get better. I do enjoy Viewfinder, however, and will stay subscribed for the articles in the journal. I was out today with my Bessa R and the Heliar 50 / 3.5 (from the Bessa T limited edition) and suggest that for a knock about camera and old LTM lenses the Bessa R is a very good choice. Mine is all scratched up, it was cheap to begin with, and I don't really care what happens to it now. On it I can attach my LTM 35 and 50 Summicrons, so I have the benefit of some of the best in Leica glass without worrying about banging up a newish Leica body. On the way out of the Mandarin Hotel this afternoon, loaded down with (upscale) Oliver's delicatessen bags filled with wine and Melba toast and hummus, the doorman said as he held the door to the taxi, "I really like your old Leica!" Surely this is another reason why the Mandarin is considered to be one of the best hotels in the world. The doorman recognizes Leica as a premium brand name even if he mistakes a Bessa for a Leica. Made my day! Cheers Howard. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
