I guess you missed the paragraph on why I am choosing the .58 M6TTL as well
as stating that I have a Mamiya 7 (which is a rangefinder) but doesn't have
fast enough glass for low light work, and have used an M6 before (although
only for 1 roll). Nor do I wish to get involved in "old" gear that I have NO
idea what to look for in terms of problems etc. Not to mention it answers
none of the reasons on why I'm chosing a new M series body. I don't find
fasination in older gear, if I did I'd just go back to a pinhole camera ;) I
know many will have different thoughts on what a new users first body should
be BUT I have thought it out pretty well and IMO chose one that will suit my
needs now & years down the road.

Thanks!

I also am not one to believe that German is better than Canadian unless it's
a proven fact in real world applications. Which in most cases it doesn't
matter where a lens is made as long as the quality control is there. I'm not
a MTF guy just someone who wants good glass & coatings to shoot with
(another reason why I don't want older glass, they don't have the coatings).

Like I said I'm getting into this system for what the body has to offer. I
do want quality glass as I get good results with the Zeiss T* from Contax
and thatıs what I'm used to. Leica glass where I can afford it otherwise
Voightlander. So thatıs where my aim is at this time.

Thanks for the response.
