Subject: [Leica] Using the Elmar 90 f4 LSM lens on a Fed 2.

Hi all Leicaphiles:

I managed to get some scanned images and prints from Ritz camera which
demonstrated the beauty of the Elmar 90 f4. Light leaks occurred albeit
rarely on some of the negatives. However, the Ritz scans weren't the best as
there were streaks from the scanner I believe which didn't show up on the
prints.

However the prints demonstrate why even the 1950's Leitz lenses can provide
very nice contrast. My personal favorite is the photo "All-American Girl"
which was shot at 1/25 at f4. "Skyscraper" is at:
http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=472248 and "All-American Girl"
is at: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=472251 . Nice optics I
strongly believe :)

sincerely,
Alfie
