Subject: [Leica] New camera - or what a stupid oversight
From: Johnson Cheung <jsbc1@yahoo.com>

In the Dec issue of Practical Photography, there is a
Leica ad on p. 29.

This ad announces "The new highlight in the compact
class".

The accompanying text got me hooked: " The LEICA red
spot is a gurantee that's recognised the world over.
the LEICA minilux zoom offers a new dimension in
creative photography with impressive, high quality in
any situation. Its specialist features includ the
VARIO ELMAR f/3.5-6.5/35-70mm lens: an elegant
titanium body: innovative built-in flash plus the
external LEICA CF flash unit."

Why the excitement? They product photo is a LEICA C1,
rather than the minilux that I own.

Is this a new camera? If not, how does any marketing
department make this kind of careless oversight?

Johnson
