about 2 years ago american photo did a whole issue devoted to hcb, in that
one, i think, is the article about him refusing to sign vintage prints --
all the stuff that was printed by and for magazines he won't touch -- i
assume he's signing reprints, or whatever they're doing now. i suppose he
doesn't have to do anything for money. i wonder how he passes his days.

speaking of which, i saw that AWFUL book "face". what a total invasion of
HCB's privacy, the book is without a shred of decency or talent. it appears
a more than obvious effort to cash in on a recluse. worse than photographing
liz taylor in the back of a limo with a bag over her head.
