The R8 is my only SLR and every time I use it I grow more in love with it. I
use it professionally and it has never failed me, even when I think I have
made a total pigs ear of things. The TTL flash metering is, for me, very
useful and works with studio flash as well as any flash gun you want to
attach to it. The Leica optics are renowned (as we all know) but I must
agree that the 28-70 zoom is not the best although I can't actually fault it
- - I just seem to have trouble focusing with it compared with the others, and
thus get more out of focus shots. I used to use Canon EOS but do not miss
the autofocus a bit. BTW, I also use M gear.
