Leica Camera AG has published the interim report for the first
half of the fiscal year 2001/2002. The main topics are:
__ Leica Camera Group improves operating result in1st half of
2001/2002 by € 2.1 million to € 0.4 million
__ Temporary lack of digital cameras leads to 8.0% decline in
sales to € 66.6 million
__ Restructuring runs according to schedule, supports profit
forecast
__ Liabilities due to banks drop by 26.9% to € 31.7 million
