I appreciate the pointers to the Cindy Sherman on-line sites. It seems to me
that in the spectrum of photography she's much less a photographer and more
a visual artist working in the photographic medium. That's on the opposite
end of the scale from Ansel Adams.

Like most forms of human endeavor there's going to be a curve. Hopefully
people are going to push that curve.

I don't find her work particularly interesting myself - I'm simply not in
the audience for it. But there are other photographers whose work leaves me
mostly cold also. One of the joys of being human. Personally I find her work
like watching "The West Wing", a program I have abandoned due to its
incredible preachiness. I like my art subtle where I get to make my own
conclusions.

Best,

Adam
